If you want the app to ignore certain products from hiding and publish you can simply add the product tag to the app.
If you are unhappy with the results you can undo the hide or publish action within 24 hours with just one click on the “reverse'' button.

The app builds on Shopify's hiding feature which has the advantage of hiding sold-out products from collections as well as search results. The downside is that Shopify hides the product details page also which results in a 404 error.
